Huh? What Did You Say?
By Joseph H. Casto
I retired from 26 years of Naval aviation in 1977; I’d been an aircraft mechanic for reciprocating, jet and turboprop engines. The noise was tremendous, and over time, the damage to my hearing was cumulative. I lost more than half my ability to hear and understand the spoken word. That led to a litany of “Huh? Pardon me? Repeat that a little louder, please? How was that again?” I was so sick of excusing myself I decided to do something about it. I tried three types of hearing aids from the Veterans Administration. They were not top of the line and didn’t help much.
Eventually, I tried Audibel on my own. I met a young lady named Pamela Smith at Beach Hearing who checked my hearing, fitted me with a pair of computer-adjustable, all-in-the-ear aids that you can’t see unless you look directly into my ear(s). Ms. Smith has the uncanny ability to diagnose responses so well you’d swear she was hearing the same things you do. I’ve met a lot of people in the hearing field and tried a couple other brands before meeting Pamela Smith. She’s the only “expert” that completely understands her chosen field that I’ve ever met. How good is she? My family didn’t realize how improved my hearing was until I changed my will twice!
Pamela Smith keeps faith with her clients and understands their needs. Her knowledge of Audibel products enables her to impart understanding and confidence to her clientele. She backs that up by inviting you in for follow-up checks. If you don’t hear well, you owe it to yourself to contact Pamela Smith. She’s the best friend your ears will ever have.
June Schweinfurth – I have been very pleased with my change to the Virtue line hearing aids by Audibel. It has been so nice to hear and the experience of hearing in restaurants and public places. So glad to have this opportunity.
Harvey Legg – My Virtue line hearing aids from Audibel cannot be compared to other hearing aids that I owned. Features I enjoy; no volume adjustment, get excellent discrimination, much clearer speech and reasonable battery life. Excellent aids, worry free. Superior personal attention and service if needed from Beach Hearing Aid Centers.
Russ Tj – I have tried several brands of hearing aids and turned them all back in after their trail periods. They felt like bricks in my ear, my voice didn’t sound natural and various sound frequencies "made my skin crawl". Admittedly, I was discouraged until I stopped by Beach Hearing and tried Audibel’s. The large vent prevents feedback. My voice sounds natural. I can once again hear my wife (good thing) and follow conversations in a restaurant. Beach Hearing’s customer service is superb. The product is great. They feel so comfortable I forget I have them in. Thanks!
Laura Cone – I am so pleased with my hearing aids and Tony Hannah the specialist in Newport News could not have been more thorough or kind in every possible regard. Thanks again.
